Substitute mustard for other condiments. Ketchup, BBQ sauce, and mayo are empty calories full of sugar or fat. Reduced fat mayo is 35 cal/Tbsp; BBQ sauce is 25 cal/Tbsp; ketchup is 20 cal/Tbsp. Doesn't sound like a lot of calories to you? How many people only use 1 Tbsp of ketchup at a time? No, most of us don't pay attention to how much of these condiments we are using and the calories can quickly add up.
I know, I know... get to the mustard already. Stay in your chairs everyone. Mustard is a whopping 0 calories/Tbsp, and the more you use, it's still 0 calories. So the next time you're putting ketchup on the table with you next meal, put the mustard on the table instead and save those calories.
