Vacation and Living Healthy Stress Free

umbrella vacation picture healthy living

Stress and the Body

It's no big secret that people live to an older age without less stress in their lives. I don't know about you, but as a small business owner I work more than I live. Our lives are very stressful today, with all that we have on our plate. Even if you don't own your own business, but work a busy job, it seems we all multi-task maybe even working several jobs, hardly having time to take five throughout the day.

Fitness is Key

This is why it's so very important to have fitness built into your day. Walk around the building at work. Come to the trainer after work for a quick hour session. Walk the dog around the block three times before going to bed. Stretch to some yoga between going grocery shopping and cooking dinner.  The bottom line is being active reduces stress and tension levels.

Vacation or Mountain Air for the Soul

I was reading Facebook the other day and how many people wishing they were on vacation. We almost live for vacation.  Vacation is not just a time to have fun and not work, but a time to de-stress and clear our mind of so much that is going on.  So where to go? A busy Ocean City getaway, or a mountain trek?

So many times my clients go on vacation only to come back exhausted. I always wonder why are they so tired after they just got back from vacation ? Their vacation was more like a twenty point itinerary of things to cram in and do before they left the place they were vacationing at.  They battled the crowds, went to busy places, and came back more tired than before they left.

Just the other day I was reading how many people are buying up property in Andorra?  I found that it has something to do with the mountainous region, quiet living, tax haven and property prices.  You can read more in this blog post:  http://www.propertyandorra.com/andorra-blog/?p=310 .  Supposedly the air is full of oxygen, very clean and the mountainous region the properties are in are so high that they claim you can live a longer life by living there. Investors have found some tax-loophole which helps, too.  ( For more information about property for sale there you can refer to the website  http://www.propertyandorra.com )

Suffice to say, this is just proof positive people are opting for fresh mountain air versus city high rise condos.  This is a great theory: when you take a vacation, take a real vacation. A break from busy city life, bustles and hustling people and really take a get away!  Go somewhere quiet, rest your mind and your body.  A walk through the woods or mountains will prove better on your body than battling a million people on a boardwalk.

Staying Hydrated Exercise and Supplements

Atlas Trainers
Water is the answer.
Summer Exercises and Staying Hydrated

Summer is coming and the best thing you can do is stay hydrated. Drinking plenty of H2O while running, biking, hiking, or walking will be your best defense against dehydrating and getting run down.

How Much Water and Myths

The Mayo Clinic  has debunked the old adage "8 glasses of water a day" finding that the The Institute of Medicine determined that an adequate intake (AI) for men is roughly 3 liters (about 13 cups) of total beverages a day. The AI for women is 2.2 liters (about 9 cups) of total beverages a day.

This is more than the eight 8 oz cups that is recommended. Why? Because all water or liquid counts towards your beverage intake. If you are drinking six cups of water, four Gatorade's, two glasses of milk and one iced tea you've hit your goal.

Summer Increase of Water

With that in mind, in the summer months, you should consume more water.  Remember when going out to garden, walking to the mailbox, or in and out of the car in hot summer months will require more energy due to the heat from the hot sun.  It is easy to get dehydrated while not even knowing it.

My suggestion is to shoot for ten glasses of water a day. Not only will you stay hydrated, but it will make you feel fuller. This way, not wanting to snack and eat as much, cutting calories and staying hydrated will increase overall weight loss.

Supplements and Water

Many clients ask me about supplements and summertime.  For instance, I was reading about Cellucor products on the Super HD review and found a lot of good all natural products in the Cellucor supplement line. I found that the review site is unbiased and really features the ingredients in the products.

Most reviews were positive, but the only negative user were from people who were exercising a lot that were reporting their stomachs were upset.  Right away I thought--they aren't drinking enough water.

The truth is, while taking any supplements like Cellucor or like type natural pills that will curb your appetite, you should remember, they make your body feel full and not hungry.  This may also trick your body into thinking you are not thirsty and making your body not want for water.

My suggestion is to drink plenty of water before, after, and during taking any supplements.  This way, you can make sure your supplements are getting absorbed, metabolized and flushed properly.

Water is the Key

The bottom line: drinking  plenty of water is the key to a healthy body and survival.

WOMEN WELLNESS IN TIMES OF STRESS

It is so very important for women to exercise and eat healthy. Truth be told, they have so much on their plate and so many hats they are wearing.  Often times they are multi-tasking being Mothers, wives, and full time employees on top of balancing everything else their busy lives have to offer, and can covet little time for themselves.

It's no secret that having a stressful life can impair your ability to lose weight, as there are cortisol-belly fat connections.  Often times women feel worn out, run down, and eat the wrong things to try to give them energy, when in fact there is more going on.  The key is to keep moving, rejuvenate your body, and take some "me time."

EXERCISE AND DIET = ME TIME

You have to look at Exercise and eating healthy as "Me Time."  In other words, it's your time!  Take a thirty minute break for some cardio walking at the office,  and you will feel the stress of your day melt away.     Eat a yummy breakfast smoothie and start your day with energy instead of running on half empty.  Walk the dog when you get home, and tune the world out.  "Me Time" is very important to keep the stress levels down.   Exercise will increase blood flow, oxygen circulation and release endorphins to keep you feeling your best.

EXERCISE AND PREGNANCY

There are many myths regarding pregnancy and exercise. Truth be told, each woman's body is different and so is their pregnancy.  If your doctor allows you to exercise, in your first trimester,  then you should do so with caution.  Understand during a pregnancy your body will have good days and bad days, feel more run down and tired on some, so do what you can and don't push yourself too hard.  Many exercises can be tailored to fit your needs and keep you feeling in tip top shape such as walking, water aerobics, yoga, swimming, or low impact stretching and light cardio.  A trainer can work with you so that you do not over do it during this special time.

INFERTILITY AND EXERCISE

If you are undergoing fertility treatments, or inviro, during this time you should consult with your doctor to ensure normal exercise is allowed. If so, you can take the "me time" and run with it. Otherwise, consult your physician to see when it is safe to resume normal activity.

EXERCISE and NATURAL FERTILITY SUPPLEMENTS

Exercise can be maintained with the new natural pill supplements.  For women who  want to have a baby but just can't seem to get pregnant, there is now hope in a pill called  FertilAid for Women and is a doctor-approved and ObGyn-recommended fertility supplement designed to enhance fertility, restore hormonal balance and improve reproductive health to optimize a woman's chances to conceive.

What I found interesting is that the ingredients are natural and scientifically-validated and combines together with other fertility-enhancing nutrients, essential vitamins, minerals, and key antioxidants.  Something like this is more safe than other fertility treatments.

EXERCISE MOTIVATION AND WOMEN

Just remember how important exercise is in your life. If you can't get motivated, bond with your daughter, best friend, and use the buddy system. Every little step you take to a healthier you is a plus!
